The short version

We don’t want your data. There are no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics that profile you. Using this site is anonymous.

Your self-check answers never leave your device

The self-assessment and every calculator run entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your answers, scores and saved history are stored only in your browser’s localStorage — on your device, under your control. We never receive, see, or store them. Clearing your browser data, or using the “Delete my history” button, removes them completely.

What our server sees

Like any website, our server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use these to identify you or build a profile, and we don’t sell or share them. To show the right local helplines, we read the approximate country your network resolves to (via Cloudflare’s edge). That country code is used to pick a list — it isn’t stored against you.

Cookies

We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. Your theme preference is saved in localStorage, not a cookie.

Links out

We link to independent helplines and self-exclusion schemes. Once you follow a link, that organisation’s own privacy policy applies — we have no control over and take no responsibility for external sites.

Age

This site is intended for adults (18+). It offers no gambling and is safe to read at any age, but the subject matter assumes an adult audience.
